Hello there! I find
myself sitting on my laptop, on a somewhat sunny day in June, pondering what I
should post for my first blog post. After some deliberation, I think it would
be a good idea to introduce myself by listing 10 facts about myself. (02/06/2017)
*Update (16/03/2020): Hello, I'm slowly working my way through my blog, updating old blog posts, and I came across this one! It's been near three years since I posted this blog

10 fun facts!
- First things first, my name is Shawna.
- I'm half Malaysian and half Scottish, and lived in Malaysia till I was 10 years old.
- I am a Christian!
- I'm a recent business graduate, who is still trying to figure out what to do with life after uni.
- (2020): I'm a not-so-recent graduate now, who has (for the moment) happily stumbled into the role of a content creator.
- My love affair with Edinburgh began, four years ago, when I moved from Fife to study and I currently run an Instagram called @exploringedinburgh.
- (2020): I still run my Instagram @exploringedinburgh and have since written a book about the city called "Pockets of Pretty: An Instagrammer's Edinburgh".
- I enjoy nothing better than a good walk, or rummaging through charity shops/vintage stores for bargains!
- I'm a bit of a crazy plant lady and yes, that does mean I name by plants..
- I have been a pescatarian for two years, with the hope that one day I'll be fully veggie!
- 2020: I'm a vegetarian!
- I'm definitely guilty for watching too many movies, and I have a soft spot for old movies with Cary Grant or Audrey Hepburn; but that doesn't mean I don't also enjoy a Jason Bourne or Fast and Furious movie.
- And lastly, I enjoy listening to a good audio-book, especially on train journeys. I'm currently listening and thoroughly enjoying "The Penguin Lessons" by Tom Michell, narrated by Bill Nighy.
- 2020: I still enjoy audio-books, I'm currently listening to Shadow of the Wind but I've also found a love for physical books
Well,
hopefully that list of random facts about myself has given you an idea of who
the person behind this blog is, and I can't wait to start sharing reviews of
cafes/restaurants I visit and documenting my explorations both within Scotland
and beyond. So welcome, and I hope to see you again soon!
